About ONTHETABLE

About ONTHETABLE

Materials, food, and handmade rituals.

ONTHETABLE observes the materials, food, and handcrafts around a table.

Who we are

A beeswax wrap, a beeswax candle, and a workshop are all entry points into everyday life.

ONTHETABLE did not begin as a large commercial plan. It began with a long observation of natural materials, the state of food, and everyday objects. We started with beeswax wraps, beeswax candles, and workshops, slowly exploring how materials can enter real life.

What we believe

Food is alive. It needs to breathe. Bread continues to lose moisture. Cheese needs to breathe slowly. Half-cut fruits change when they meet air. Lemons, onions, and produce have their own skins, fibers, and rhythms of moisture.

What draws us to beeswax wraps is not only that they help reduce single-use materials, but that they are closer to the way nature already protects food. In the right context, they leave a little room for food to breathe.

A table

Every material has its place. Beeswax wraps are best for foods that benefit from gentle breathing and short-term cold storage. Beeswax candles are steady, gentle sources of light. Workshops help people get closer to material, temperature, texture, and boundaries.

We hope these objects and experiences can be understood clearly, used with care, and placed where they belong.

Studio / Daily Work

Studio and everyday work.

The studio table is where materials are sorted and workshops are prepared. Cloth, wax, wicks, and ceramics are first seen here before returning to a workshop or an everyday table.
